First and most important, you may remember that Suzy had bariatric surgery last January. This is Suzy before the surgery.
Then in May we showed you "The Incredible Shrinking Woman," after a loss of 76 pounds.
Well, here we now, just more than six months after surgery, and the loss is 103 pounds!
On another thread, we introduced you to the family of quail that was born on our back porch. Many folks asked for updates on the quail. This is "Our Family" now. Only six youngsters are left, but they are healthy and happy.
Lots of other families come to our place for food as well.
Another new thread: we recently left a comment with Al of the Bayfield Bunch that we had recently planted a bunch of stuff in our yard, and Al wanted pictures. This is a Trichocereus hybrid, the last item we planted. It's about to burst into bloom.
How about this Trichlobivia hybrid, with its friend Grouch?
Or the new Lantana (left) and Red Bird of Paradise (right)?
Here are a couple of shots of our cactus garden. I keep hoping we don't find anything else to plant here!
We bought a Desert Willow tree for the front yard, had it delivered and planted for us. Danny of the Civano Nursery did a splendid job.
The Desert WIllow flowers look almost like miniature orchids.
There are lots more pictures of cactus, quail, plants, and the tree in our web album called Suzy and Cactus. But we want to leave you with this early sunrise recently, on a day in ... Our Life on Wheels.
I wondered what was up with you folks. Great things, all the way around I can see. :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Suzy!!! I hope you feel as good as you look, because you look terrific!! You've been working hard at this and you deserve a huge pat on the back for your success. I look forward to hearing about and seeing you back out on the road and enjoying your new physical abilities. Great things, indeed!
ReplyDeleteYour place looks great, too! It's also fun to see your quail, I've always loved seeing them in the Arizona desert. They are such neat critters!
Hugs,
Terry
Hey, looking great Suzy & I bet you feel a whole lot better as well. Nice pics of the Cactus Garden & I know right where you planted that Desert Willow. Just about the same spot we took some Christmas pictures from a few years ago. Nice to hear from you folks that all is well way down there in Benson Arizona. Maybe see you guys in November sometime:))
