Christmas is Over Again
Yes, it's over for another year. A weary Santa has hung up his cap, fed his reindeer, and collapsed in front of the fireplace with a cup of cheer in his hand. Mrs. Santa had a busy time too, keeping all the elves fed, pressing Santa's travel suit, and all the other important details wives are so talented at handling -- and that Santa hadn't given a thought to. She even used her computer skills to plan Santa's route and schedule. Now they can rest for a couple of weeks before firing up the factory again for next year's presents.
Here at home, we'll keep the Christmas lights burning for a few more nights, let the spirit wind down slowly.
What a shame to let that Christmas spirit wind down at all. Let's remember that love and caring and sharing is what Christmas should mean (as well as being the birthday of the One Who came so long ago), and then hang onto that spirit every day of the rest of our lives.
We'll try to do just that for the rest of ... Our Life on Wheels.

ReplyDeleteVery well said! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteNice sentiment and we try to follow it all year long. We do seem to be in the minority, but I feel it is the others persons loss.
ReplyDeleteI am still awaiting the big surprise you said you had and would post in the near future.
Reminds me of the movie The Polar Express..keep Xmas in your heart...
ReplyDeleteLovely thoughts. Wishing you two continued happiness throughout life's challenges in the New Year!
ReplyDeleteWe still have two Christmases to go!! Too many family gatherings to get it all done in a day or two. After it's over, I think I'll just collapse for a few days.
